Double-Yellow

The preferred bombing range these days - bad habit. She usually double-checks to make sure she's exactly lined-up with the center of the street, so she must've been in a hurry the morning I took this.

And yes, TMI, but you read the Stella blog, this is what you get.

BRAINS!

Muddy Paws.

The new dog park (while Nealon is closed) is pretty muddy.

Muddy park = muddy paws.
Muddy paws = paw bath before coming inside.
Paw bath = slightly cleaner Stella, much wetter doggeh padre.

Doggeh Park

At Nealon Park baseball field - the big black labradoodle is Dozer, one of Stella's many older boyfriends.

DNA results are in.

We knew Stella's mom was a mini Schnauzer. A big-ish mostly mini-Schnauzer.
There have been suggestions whispered, however, that Stella's mom had a few suitors, what with all the puppies coming out various shades of German Shepherd-looking.
Well the DNA doesn't lie. Stella parents were a purebred mini Schnauzer, and an Aussie Shepherd mix. So Panda deserves the credit after all.
Now the question is about Panda's heritage...what we thought was a Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd seems by the genes to be a mix. The dad's genes are half pure Aussie Shepherd, but Stella's mix also has Lhasa Apso(13%)-Collie(4%)-Basenji(3%)-Welsh Terrier(2%)-mini Poodle(1%). Since border collies tend to be farm-bred and unregistered (read: more genetic diversity than most breeds), it wouldn't surprise me if there was more BC in Panda (and Stella) than the results suggest.
